Im Jahr 2025 feiert die Gemeinde St. Magdalena das 350. Weihejubiläum ihrer Pfarrkirche. Zu diesem Anlass nimmt die von Dr. Birgitta Klemenz in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Museum Fürstenfeldbruck kuratierte Ausstellung die Geschichte der Pfarrkirche, insbesondere des Kirchenneubaus von 1675 und ihrer Ausstattung in den Blick. Der Kirchenneubau wurde in nur drei Jahren fertiggestellt. Möglich wurde dies durch das Engagement der Brucker Bürgerschaft, die – teilweise organisiert in der Rosenkranzbruderschaft – maßgeblich zum Bau und zur künstlerischen Ausgestaltung beitrug.

Die Jubiläumsausstellung in und vor der Kirche St. Magdalena bildet den Auftakt des neuen Projekts DU = WIR | FÜRSTENFELDBRUCKER STADTGESCHICHTE(N). Mit der Ausstellungsreihe fragt das Museum Fürstenfeldbruck nach der historischen wie aktuellen Bedeutung verschiedener Orte.

Die Sichtbarmachung in St. Magdalena lädt die Bürgerinnen und Bürger ein, sich selbst mit der Bedeutung des Ortes zu beschäftigen. Eine temporäre Station in der Dauerausstellung „Bruck um 1900“ sowie eine Zusammenschau verschiedener Perspektiven, die als Museumsblatt erscheint, regt an zu weiteren Fragen: welche Aspekte der Geschichte sind noch in Erinnerung und wirken bis in die Gegenwart, was bedeutet uns dieser Ort heute und wie gehen wir mit ihm um?

YOU = WE | FÜRSTENFELDBRUCK HISTORY(IES)
In 2025, the parish of St. Magdalena will celebrate the 350th anniversary of the consecration of its church. To mark this occasion, an exhibition curated by Dr. Birgitta Klemenz in cooperation with Fürstenfeldbruck Museum highlights the history of the parish church, focusing in particular on the new building erected in 1675 and its interior decoration. Remarkably, the construction was completed in just three years—made possible through the dedication of the townspeople of Bruck, who, in part organized in the Rosary Brotherhood, played a central role in both the construction and its artistic design.
The anniversary exhibition, presented in and around the church of St. Magdalena, marks the launch of a new project: YOU = WE | FÜRSTENFELDBRUCK HISTORY(IES). Through this exhibition series, Fürstenfeldbruck Museum explores the historical and contemporary significance of different places in the town.
The presentation at St. Magdalena invites local residents to reflect on what this place means to them. A temporary installation in the permanent exhibition “Bruck around 1900”, together with a compilation of perspectives published as a museum booklet, encourages further questions: Which aspects of history are still remembered and resonate today? What does this place mean to us now and how do we engage with it in the present?
